Update Time

Well, once again, it has been forever since I've updated around here, as my mom pointed out the other day :P! So a quick little update about everything!

Bri - is doing wonderful. It is hard to believe she is going to be 7 in a month! Where did all the time go?? She is finishing up first grade and loves school. I gave her to option of going back to public school or staying at the Christian School (which I was hoping for), and she did not even hesitate to answer. She will be attending the christian school next year. She loves it there - the kids are nice, the teachers are wonderful, and she is excelling more then I ever could have imagined. Instead of coming home and talking about the girl drama, she comes home and talks about how much fun her and her friends had, what they did, and what she learned, things that seem much more healthy and normal. She has become the little girl that values doing what's right over doing what her friend's say and that makes me incredibly proud. We are not planning to have a birthday party this year, for personal reasons, so for her birthday we are going to go to Denver and celebrate down there with our friends there. Bri actually choose that and is super excited.

Noah - is also doing well, at least developmentally. He is teaching me a lot about patience though! He is super in to everything, and never sits down! He has such a beautiful spirit and loves to make us laugh. He might be the silliest 1 year old I have ever met. Health-wise is another issue and we are still struggling to find the answer. After many doctor ans dermatologist appointments, and about 10 different medications - we are now trying a different route. I took him to a homeopathic practitioner and am starting a different type of plan that includes putting him on goat's milk, natural blood cleansers and nutrient supplements, and probiotics. All of these is very new to me but I have researched everything she recommended and I actually am feeling pretty confident that it may help. At this point, there is really nothing to lose, as nothing else has even helped.

As for me - this semester is quickly coming to a close and I am getting more and more excited about graduation. Providing I pass all my classes (with only 3 weeks left in the semester, there should be no problem in that area), I graduate on May 15th at 7pm. It is such a proud time in my life, as it feels like I am right where I need to be, and finally succeeding.
I am really enjoying everything going on, I love my kids, my home, and my career choice. It is a little stressful with so much to do and everything coming up all at once. And even more stressful as I frantically search for someone to watch the kids for my 4 weeks of methods classes, but I know it is in God's hands and I am just going to enjoy the ride.

Easter was fun, we spent it with my grandma, and even did the Easter egg hunt in the great room right there at the nursing home. I think she was happy that we made sure to be there, since she isn't allowed to leave. It was hard though, because I really wanted to get her out for the day. Bri loved being able to find the eggs, while Noah just changed the channels on the great room TV, and tried to bang on the fish tank.
